Loving is one thing, but loving like Jesus is something more!

What does it mean to love like Jesus does? John 13: 34-35 says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” We talk about love a lot in the life of the church. And we, as members of Central, profess to love everyone, and we do try to live that out. However, Jesus said, as I have loved you, so you must love one another, is something all together with extra! Jesus ate with sinners, visited lepers, non-Jewish people, and so many people who were considered “other.” How do we love the people we think to be “other” today?

What does it mean to you to love someone like Jesus does? This is our question for today, and for Sunday, I would ask you to consider this challenge!

God be with you this week!    Tom

Many of the attendees thanked us for having the snack bar available for them. Again, thanks to everyone from Central Christian Church Guild members.

To whoever made the delicious chocolate chip pecan cookies, can I  PLEASE have the recipe??  They are so good!!  Thank you for your generous donation to our department every month!  Everyone really appreciates it more than we can ever say!  God Bless!

Memorial: Ed Krause

Ed Krause was a member of Central Christian Church, he joined his life and ministry at Central on Feb. 9, 1975. Ed served the church in many ways. He served as a Deacon, property committee member, world outreach committee, Stewardship committee, and a greeter. But Ed’s greatest gift was a fixer, he could fix anything! And as I was talking to several members of the church, they remembered Ed volunteering to fix problems around the building. This is a profound blessing to the church and the people who worship at Central.

Notice:  If you schedule a meeting or any type of function, please let Kandy know (at 233-1214 or receptionist@centralenid.org) so she can put it on the calendar and a room can be ready for you!
