Worship is a very important aspect of Central members’ church life. We gather each week to encounter God in fellowship with the Divine and each other. We seek to worship God with joy and thanksgiving in our hearts. For us, worship is a scriptural-based activity in which we adore our God through praise, prayer, song, and proclamation.
We provide worship services in both traditional and casual settings. Each Sunday morning, Central Church holds two services. Throughout the year, various special worship services allow our church family to commemorate the Christian calendar's cycles. The Lord’s Supper is served each service and is open to all Christians who proclaim Jesus as the Christ.

Chapel Service
Sunday 8:00 a.m. in the Chapel
This informal traditional worship features the singing of several familiar hymns, scripture, and a message from our minister. The Lord’s Supper (communion) is celebrated every Sunday and is open to all. It’s not unusual to see someone in a suit sitting next to someone in jeans at this service, so please come as you are.

Sanctuary Service
Sunday 10:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary
This worship service features a more formal style of worship. From the opening moments of worship, through hymns of praise, acts of prayer, magnificent anthems by the Chancel Choir, the proclamation of the Biblical story, and the weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper, we worship God and celebrate community with a spirit of joyful reverence and awe. Our Bell Choirs play several times each year; and other musicians, youth, and children’s ensembles periodically offer their gifts in worship. As in the other Sunday services, it is not unusual to see someone in a suit sitting next to someone in jeans.

Children’s Church
Offered during the 10:00 am service, most children four years through fifth grade attend the first fifteen minutes of worship with their parents and then move to Children’s Church for Worship and Wonder or Following Jesus.
Worship & Wonder – Every Sunday for four-year-olds through second graders
Youth Group - Every other Sunday following church. Check the calendar for times and special events.
Both groups allow children to hear a Bible story, engage in creative activities, and enjoy a snack.

Childcare and Children's Programming
We do not offer childcare at this time, however, children under the age of 3 can stay in the Prayground in the Sanctuary during the 10:15 service, and children 3 and over can go to Worship and Wonder.
