Midweek Update
Central Christian Church extends Christian Sympathy to the family and friends of Rev. Dr. Bill Masters, who passed from this life to the next on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The. Celebration of Life Memorial for Rev. Dr. Masters will be held in the sanctuary at Central Christian Church on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 am under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home
Dollars for Mission supports Local, Regional, and even Global Ministries and Outreach. When one dollar bills (or contributions earmarked for Dollars for Missions projects) are placed in the offering plate, they go to support that week's chosen ministry.
This week's Dollars for Mission recipient is:
Rural Health Projects - Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center will provide after school tutoring to 30 children in the community. It will also offer resources, barrier reduction services, education, and leadership training alongside the parents and guardians of these children and others in the area. The Family Resource Center is funded through ARPA funds through the Potts Family Foundation to Rural Health Projects and the Tri-County Health Improvement Organization. The grant has funding until 2026, however it does not cover needs like healthy snacks for the children in the after school program.
The Family Resource Center will host an open house in August, please watch for an invitation coming soon!
Come and Welcome Rev. Ronnie and Lavonna Hopkins
Several covered dish dinners have been arranged so that the members of Central can meet and get to know Rev. Hopkins and Lavonna in a small group setting over dinner. The Host will supply the main course and those attending will be responsible for the sides. We are trying to keep the groups to eight people. Each of the dinners will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sign-up sheets will be available on Sunday mornings at the Welcome Center in the loggia for making reservations.
If you are interested in attending one of these dinners or hosting a future dinner, please contact the

The total ticket price per person is $25.00, which includes a hat and a $6.00 concession credit. We would love to have a big group and make it affordable for all-- so the membership committee will cover half the cost for our members and friends, bringing your total to just $12.50. (You may also pay the full price!)
