This Sunday is our Memorial Day remembrance and the 5th Sunday Sing of May. We will remember all of those who have gone before us, we will remember all they have done for the church and for us. We will also be celebrating and worshiping God for all God has done and is doing in the life of our church. Peg Krick and Frank Guyton will both be  sharing their story with us in both the 8:00 and 10:15 service. I know their stories will touch our hearts.

The sermon text from this past week, reminds us that we must not be afraid, that God is still working! It says,” “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

This Sunday as we remember and worship, we will not fear, we will trust in God who has always had plans for Central, and who has plans for Central in the future!

Board Meeting Notice

Wednesday, June 15 is Board Meeting at 6 pm.  Reports will be due by June 8 to Kandy so she can compile them into the board packet for publication on June 9.  Your attendance as Elders, Elder Emeritus, Department/Committee Chairs and constituent group leaders is important.

Memorial: Ed Krause

Ed Krause was a member of Central Christian Church, he joined his life and ministry at Central on Feb. 9, 1975. Ed served the church in many ways. He served as a Deacon, property committee member, world outreach committee, Stewardship committee, and a greeter. But Ed’s greatest gift was a fixer, he could fix anything! And as I was talking to several members of the church, they remembered Ed volunteering to fix problems around the building. This is a profound blessing to the church and the people who worship at Central.
