Missional Opportunities

Missional in short means helping other people outside the Church by action and not by monetary means only.
Listed below are some of those opportunities at Central:

Caregivers (1,700 contacts in 2016), Vance AB student pilots class sponsorship, worship service at retirement communities such as Greenbrier Village/Golden Oaks Village/The Commons, first Sunday communion to homebound, Easter egg hunt, trunk or treat, Ainsley’s Angels, suicide support group, Guthrie summer youth camp, Vacation Bible School, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Guild, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts/Cub Scouts, Civitan dance, Peru mission helped build 5 schools, Caminante mission, Sooner class support Bolenge Hospital in Congo, Gideon’s in our Church distribute Bibles, diaper bank at CDSA, food collection for Loaves and Fishes, serving at Our Daily Bread, Chapel made available to Hispanic community, Enid Welcome Table, Christian Action & Community Service (CACS) collect hats gloves coats and mittens for local grade school children help organize Shoe Project and work with Civitan Club to host the dance, help with Tri-State and Tia Chi Class
Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF)–Health Kits for people who have been through a disaster and kits help through week of compassion, clothing and sheets for women to takes with them who were in the Crisis Center at YWCA, help deliver for Meals on Wheels, collect school supplies for public schools and help support Loaves and Fishes

Guild—help 4-R Kids with rubber bands and giving Best Choice labels, help Alzheimer organization with office work and answering the phone, send cards to people ill and birthday cards who have visited or previously been to Guild, helped a single pregnant mon with a young child with a broken leg, helped with maternity clothing and a laptop for Christmas so she could attend Vo-Tech and will graduate this May as an EMT and also provide an outfit for graduation and interviews (this started about two years ago), help public schools with box tops, soup labels and rubber bands, help Ronald McDonald House with pop can tabs, help Loaves and Fishes with plastic bags and empty egg cartons, help Youth & Family Services by giving hygiene care packages for children
